Best Cruelty Free Makeup

These days, it is common for many high schoolers and college students to choose cruelty free makeup and skincare items. You may not have heard the term, but for many people, ethical testing and treatment of animals makes a big difference in the products that they want to purchase and support. We have put together some of the best brands, for all the price points, below:

-Kat Von D: This is the highest-end of the cruelty free brands. They are strict with their standards, and their products wear very well. They are most famous for their eyeshadows, and their incredible matte lipsticks, and they are well worth the money, if you can afford them. While not all their items are certified vegan, they have a long list of items that are, and they employ amazing cruelty free practices.

-Anastasia Beverly Hills: This brand is less expensive than Kat Von D, and we love their brow products. Our favorite is the brow pomade, which stays on forever, and even when you sleep if you forget to wash it off on a late night. We also love the contour palette and dipbrow products, and both will give you structured and really cleanly-edged brows.

-Urban Decay: You already love their eyeshadow palettes, but their entire line is cruelty free. Their primer is one of our favorite items, but what we love most is they are also “leaping bunny certified”, which means they abide by the industry standards for humane treatment of animals, and they do not test on animals or source ingredients from places that do.
