Welcoming the Fall Season
Fall is one of my favorite seasons, because of the changing colors and the beautiful fashion, but I always like to do some special things to celebrate the arrival of Autumn. Here is my fall bucket list:
- Making apple cider. Of course the little paper pouch mix is good in a pinch, but the real stuff can’t be beat. I love making homemade apple cider, by using this recipe from Gimme Some Oven. It smells amazing and is perfect for a large crowd.
- Taking pictures in the falling leaves: You’re never too old to lay down in some leaves and get that fun Instagram shot! Just make sure the leaves are dry, because laying in damp ones is never good! As a plus side, you can also get your yard raked 😉
- Baking pumpkin bread: Yes, you can cheat with a delicious mix, but homemade pumpkin bread is just like apple cider: it smells incredible as it’s cooking and it’s a major crowd pleaser!
- Shopping for fall boots: I love to spruce up my closet each year with a fresh pair of ankle or high boots, depending on what’s trendy. I like to check out Target for super affordable boots that last at least a few seasons and allow me to test out new trends without breaking the bank. I love the Celina Boot from Target this year, which comes in three colors and is under $40.
- Have a fall party: If you’re a senior or have a graduating senior, it’s the perfect time to throw a fall party because it’s prime time to create some treasured memories. Have your guests bring their favorite fall themed dessert or appetizer, and of course, serve up apple cider.
- Go to a pumpkin patch: I love to go to a good pumpkin patch and choose one to carve. It’s a perfect tradition to kick off the holiday season. Taking a little jaunt through a corn maze and getting all the fall vibes always fill my heart!
Of course, fall is also the best time to book a senior session. With the changing leaves and season, it is perfect to celebrate your senior year and gives you the photo you’ve imagined!
