Three Affordable Makeup Brands
Choosing makeup can be a stressful or overwhelming process if you aren’t someone who loves to choose or wear it. Even if you are a makeup lover, buying new makeup or trying new brands can be overwhelming because of the amount of choices. I’ve rounded up three affordable brands (not drugstore type brands) that you may not have heard of. They are not as expensive as designer brands, but a little step above something you’d pick up at Rite Aid or Walgreens. Here are my favorites:
- Morphe: Morphe is a great brand that offers good quality as a mid-level price point. It’s less expensive than competitors like MAC. We love their tinted lip balms and their really nice foundation. Their foundation prices start at about $16 and have buildable coverage that you can apply with a sponge or a brush. If you do a single layer, it’s pretty natural, but you can layer it up and achieve a higher level of coverage for sunspots or dark spots. Filter Effect Foundation is amazing and works for all skin types.
- Black Radiance: If you’re a person of color, you may have trouble finding the right shades and variety to suit your skin tone. Until recent years, there haven’t been many inclusive brands, and the ones that are around are often expensive. Black Radiance is a longstanding company (they’ve been around for two decades) that offers a larger variety for darker skin tones at a more affordable price point. Their products are also high quality and they work well! We recommend their Color Perfect Foundation, which starts at just $5.99!
- ColourPop: This brand definitely wins for cutest products EVER…their Disney collaborations are so freaking cute, and they’re all under $10-$15! Not only are they adorable and stylish, they are actually good quality. Their eyeshadows have a little bit more fallout then other brands but It’s pretty easily fixed if you use a primer. We love the Star Wars Collab, and think it’s amazing!
These three brands offer you the quality you want without breaking the bank!
