Ways to Make Your Senior Session Easier
A lot of people express concerns before booking their senior session, about how they think it’s going to be complicated. I pride myself on making the senior photo experience something that’s truly a memory to look back on, instead of just a chore you have to get through. I wanted to share a few things today. First, trust the process! As an experienced senior photographer, I know how to best pose you, get you the shots you want, and help you celebrate this important milestone. Secondly, here are some things YOU can do beforehand:
-Know the real investment: Please read carefully the investment information that we send to our clients. We don’t want any surprises, and we know you don’t either! Reading the investment information makes sure that you can budget appropriately, or discuss budgeting with your parents or guardian. Read about what’s included, and what your session fee gets you so you can feel confident about what you’re saving for.
-Consider your outfits and locations: Tell me anything you’ve been dreaming of, and what you have in mind! Don’t wait until the last minute to discover that you really wanted a bohemian dress or a city location. Letting me know ahead of time helps me plan for a session that reflects YOUR dreams and ideas, and makes sure that you get what you want out of your shoot.
-Ask questions: It doesn’t hurt my feelings if you ask me questions! I am an open book who’s goal is to give you the best experience ever. I want you to ask your questions, so that I can answer them with you and your parent. If you have concerns about your posing, your outfits, or any insecurities you might be having, please feel safe enough to open up to me. I promise to listen, and to help find solutions to the questions you might have. There is nothing that is a “dumb question”, truly!
