The Fall Boot

It can be hard to pull off the chunkier, combat-style boot that is popular right now, but it really is a super versatile shoe that goes with more than you may realize. If you are wanting to go with a trendy boot but aren’t sure that you know how to style it, today’s blog is for you. Here are some example of the boots this season:

The all-weather boot: This boot from Ugg is great for the rainstorms that come with the season, and they also look chic and polished with a matte black tone. They are surprisingly more comfortable than regular rainbows.

The combat style boot: A combat style boot in brown or black can be styled several ways, and although it’s a bit more heavy than a regular shoe, it is substantial and can be comfortable, especially if you add insoles to them.

A dressier, heeled boot: This boot is pretty structured and chunky, but has just a touch of femininity to it. The little tassel detail and stacked heel are solid enough to go with lots of outfits, but also polished enough for work.

How to style them:

-With cropped, vintage jeans and a soft sweater: For a nineties look, you can pair looser, cropped light wash jeans with a soft, fitted sweater and a chunkier boot. The silouettes work together so that even with a more petite frame, you aren’t overwhelmed.

-With dresses: a more casual dress can be paired with boots, believe it or not! This is another 90’s inspired look, but a cute floral dress can be paired with boots or sneakers. If you are putting a chunky boot like a Doc Marten with a dress, be sure the dress is not a floor length maxi, or long sleeved. It should be either shorter and more flirty, or fitted so that you don’t look off-balanced with proportions.

-For every day: Regular skinny jeans and a sweater can be used with these types of boots with very little effort, but make sure you do full-face makeup and fun accessories to keep it looking fresh and young, rather than too aged.
