One of the biggest questions I hear from seniors is, “Do I really need to do hair and makeup for my session?” The short answer is no. You absolutely do not have to. But I do encourage you to think about it. Hair and makeup can make a big difference in how confident and polished you feel, and that really shows in your photos.
Professional makeup is not about covering up who you are. It is about bringing out your natural beauty. The same goes for hair. Even something simple like soft curls or a little added volume can make your whole look come together. You want to feel confident from the moment we start, and that extra step can help you walk in with a smile.

I have had plenty of seniors who styled their own hair and makeup and looked completely amazing. It is all about what makes you feel the most comfortable.
If you are doing your own, I recommend going just a little bolder than your everyday look. Makeup tends to appear softer on camera. Be sure to bring a small bag with a brush or comb, powder or blotting paper, and maybe a little lip gloss or balm. That way you can freshen up as we go, especially on warm or breezy days.
