Back to School Shopping List

I know the back to school season is totally different for many people this year. No matter what your state’s mandates are, it likely looks much different for you than previous years. I know it can feel challenging to prepare for a strange year, and one that can change at any moment. But, I wanted to put together a short shopping list for things that might make your transition easier. Here are some ideas:

-A good planner: I always recommend a planner for the typical school year, but this year may be even more crucial with so many online or hybrid zoom meetings, etc. Get one with lots of space so you can make plenty of notes and customize it for your own needs. One great idea is the bullet journals, which allow you to draw your own graphs or boxes, and make it your own! Grab some post-its and highlighters to help keep you organized.

-Comfy clothes: Okay, we all know we have been in our pajamas more than usual, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay in your actual jammies! Stock up on some comfy lounge clothes that are a bit more polished, like soft jogger pants, solid color tees, and long cozy sweaters. They will look nicer than sleepwear, but are practical enough for being home more often.

-A fun subscription: Nothing helps boost your mood more than a fun surprise in the mail. Something we are loving is the Book of the Month club, which sends you a new book each month, and has plenty of bestsellers. We like it because its affordable, and it really helps give you something to look forward to when you’re at home or needing a new activity. If you’re into beauty products, something like Ipsy would be a fun choice, too.

-Water bottle: A great water bottle is an excellent purchase for back to school, even if you’re learning online. Staying hydrated can help your concentration and overall health, and even improve your skin. If you are staying home a lot more, be sure to add in some Vitamin D supplements in addition to water (be sure to ask your Dr. before you start anything new). Target has amazing water bottles with wooden and glass details that are stylish and functional!

Happy shopping!
