Three Ideas for your Senior Shoot
Coming up with a theme or ideas for your senior shoot can be challenging. There are many ideas on Pinterest and Instagram, but you may not have found the right ones for the shoot you want! We always want our clients to feel heard and understood, and to know that we craft each shoot just for you. Here are a few inspirational ideas if you’re struggling to come up with props or themes:
- Books and movies: Including some of your favorite reads is a great idea, and it gives a little bit of your personality to your shoot. Books like Harry Potter or Anne of Green Gables can also be expanded upon with additional props (flowers, suitcases, scarves, etc in the same theme), and it’s a fun way to incorporate your favorite book or movie! If you are a big Star Wars or avenger’s fan, you could also include some props or characters in a subtle way (like earrings, shoes, or a hat).
- Special location: If you have somewhere that means a lot to you in the local area, let me know. Although we can’t always make every location work, I am happy to hear your ideas and see what we can do to incorporate somewhere like a family farm, or a sports field that means something in your life. If you play a sport like basketball or volleyball, sometimes we can arrange to do action type shots, or include your uniform if you would like. Just be sure to let me know ahead of time so I can arrange it if possible.
- A colorful theme: If you have a favorite color, that can be a subtle and special theme. We can add things like red flowers, pink earrings, or a bright umbrella..I love dreaming up new themes to bring in things that you are passionate about. A color theme can be incorporated into your wardrobe, location, and more, and can make your shoot have that extra special “something” without a ton of extra effort.
No matter the theme or idea you have, I would love to hear it! Let’s get started!
