Designer Dupes

If you have designer taste on a small budget, you may be lamenting your inability to purchase the latest Gucci belt or Louis Vuitton bag. After all, who doesn’t love catching up on the latest trends and styles? We all love owning some luxury items, but if you aren’t sure you can afford the coolest new bag or sunglasses, consider getting a dupe. A dupe is a designer look-alike that can pass for an original if you don’t look too closely. A dupe is NOT a faux or counterfeit bag, because they do not possess the brand name on them, they are simply a similar style or pattern. Counterfeit bags are certainly not something you want to be purchasing! Here are our best dupe purchases, all from Amazon:

David Yurman bracelet: Amazon has tons of David Yurman look alike items, but this is our favorite. It is under $20, and looks very high quality. One advantage of getting a designer dupe is that you can “practice” with it, and see if it’s really something you want and will wear, before you invest in the real designer price tag. Lots of fashion bloggers buy dupes first to see if it’s worth the expense. You may wear something less than you imagine you will.

Gucci belt dupe: This belt is over $400 for the original, but this one will set you back under $30. It comes in multiple colors, and is a very simple ring design that mimics the look of the Gucci belt that every influencer is wearing these days. Pair with a simple tee and a high waisted jean for a sleek and pretty look that you can wear just about anywhere. Get the classic black and gold belt for the most “designer” look.

Golden Goose Dupe: These amazing sneakers are a fraction of the price of a true Golden Goose pair, and from a distance, no one will be the wiser. They are even distressed, in a similar fashion to the real ones. Not only are they a major bargain, they are very comfortable since they are Steve Madden, and they are suitable for everyday errands, school or work, if your workplace is casual. Add high waisted black pants and a denim jacket for something simple that can look as high-end as it’s designer counterparts!
