Make Me Up Mondays | Neutral Shadows

We know you’ve probably heard about the Urban Decay NAKED palette. It’s no secret that it’s one of the best eye palettes around, with it’s rich, saturated colors that have true staying power…they last all day! But it’s not the only brown/taupe hued eyeshadow or makeup that works well! In fact, there are a myriad of neutral products that are perfect for everyday use.
We love the NAKED palette (you can find it at Ulta and Sephora), but we also love the neutrals from Bobbi Brown Makeup. They are more on the spendy side, but they have beautiful colors that work for dressier occasions, with the few jewel tones sprinkled in. Especially this palette, the University Eye Palette, which is SO pretty! If your budget isn’t quite ready for the expense of the designer palettes, consider the SEPHORA brand Overcast eyeshadow that is only $28. There are plenty of lower-end palettes; just remember the colors may not last all day like the designer ones.
If you’re wondering how to apply your neutral shadows, look no further than makeup maven Maskcara! Her tutorials are so easy to follow and will have your eye look perfected in no time. You can find a neutral tutorial here (she uses the Stila palette). Keep checking into the blog for more makeup Mondays, where we show you the best in beauty tips and products!
