Scheduling Tools for Everyday Life
Life can be crazy. With work and family and friends and events all pulling for our attention, it can be difficult to keep it all straight. The last thing you’d want is to miss out on an appointment or meet-up with a friend because you forgot to put it on the calendar. A good organization tool is key in this modern age. Thankfully, many things have been made easier with technology. Our scheudled lives can be contained in a phone. Whether you’re a photographer with multiple clients or a student with classes to keep track of, here’s a few of the best scheduling tools to keep life rolling on your own timetable.
Wunderlist is an organization app that works with most iOS and Android platforms. It allows you to plan an event and organize different lists and tasks related to that event into folders. You can even share those folders with others. And the best part is, it’s free!
CloudCal works to show you how much of your day is spent doing different events. By representing each calendar day as a circle with different colored segments around the circle, you can visually see how busy you’ll be during the day and how much free you may have any given day. You can import existing calendars to streamline the process. The only drawback is that it is only available for Android devices.
Trello is like Wunderlist in that it is ideal for event planning. Except Trello is specifically geared toward visual thinkers. Trello displays like a virtual bulletin board where you can create virtual “sticky notes.” You can track task progress by moving them into different lists once they’re accomplished! This app is available for both iOS and Android systems.
Doodle is a web based app that allows users to check boxes for their availability and see when others are also free. You can even have polls to see which dates work best for the majority of the group. This is perfect for planning trips, appointments, or meetings with large groups of people, when scheduling is really difficult. It is free but also has premium features available for purchase.
