Getting a Winning Smile
There is one thing that stays constant in all of my senior sessions: a beautiful smile! Your smile is the center of your soul and heart, and it shines through no matter the location or backdrop, or even your outfits. There some real keys to getting a smile that looks authentic, and here are some of my best tips as you prepare for your senior photos:
- Brush, floss and whiten! Yes, I’m talking about your physical smile attributes! Taking good care of your teeth not only improves your health, it will give you a beautiful and healthy smile for your portraits. Visit your dentist to get checked and get any regular cleanings done! If you want to whiten your teeth, check out an affordable option like Crest white strips.
- Wear things that fit: If you are feeling tempted to wear clothes that are uncomfortable or too tight/short/low cut, it will likely reflect in your smile and look more like a grimace as you try to pose and move in something that doesn’t fit. Remember to have your outfits steamed, tailored, and well fitted with proper undergarments so you can be free to smile a true expression!
- Be confident: Nothing looks more gorgeous than a senior who is confident in who they are and the way they carry themselves. Remember all the things that make you YOU, and think about those while you are moving throughout your senior shoot. Including props that mean a lot to you are also a surefire way to bring a smile to your face!
- Remember what you’re celebrating: Your senior year is a major accomplishment, and you’ve worked so hard until this point! That alone should make you thrilled to be completing such a special time of life and reaching this milestone!
