Studio Portraits | Augusta Senior and Teen Photographer
There is something beautiful and elegant about perfect studio portraits. I love a great on-location shoot, and love scouting out creative and beautifully lit spots for sessions, but I also love a simple and modern studio photo. These two lovely ladies are the best examples of some of my recent studio work. The addition of a stunning formal gown makes them truly amazing, and a studio portrait is a creative way to capture the perfect dress.
When looking for a studio photographer, I hope you’ll choose me (ha!), but be looking for these things:
-Natural skin tones: Skin tones should appear close to natural tones, and the facial tones should match the arms and neck. Watch for natural hair and eye colors also, and look for clean, non blurred lines.
-Watch for awkward shadows/lighting: A great studio photographer will know how to correctly light your portrait so there are no shadow lines crossing your face or distracting from the overall look.
-A perfect, non distracting background: There should be no white edges or extra areas showing from a too-small background, or crumpling on the ground for a fabric background that is too big and sloppy. A background should be simple, clean, and showing off the true star…you!
