Fall Maxi Dresses
A maxi dress is the perfect senior session outfit because its flattering on all body types and has such variety! I’ve found that many seniors choose a maxi dress for their shoot for it’s versatile appeal. Here are some of my favorite styles for seniors:
-Puff sleeve maxi: A maxi with puff sleeves is perfect for any body type, but looks great on pear-shaped women or those with petite frames because it adds depth and width to the shoulders and can add shape to an upper body. We love a puff sleeve maxi dress in a mauve color with brown ankle boots and a denim jacket for a truly classic look.
-Body con maxi: A body con dress is a bit edgier and perfect for a modern look with a leather motorcycle jacket. Look for one that you can wear with or without shape wear for maximum versatility, and choose a classic color like burgundy, black, or cream so you can wear it several times. Some places that have great options are Zara and H&M, and they are very affordable, too.
-Wrap maxi dress: A wrap style dress is a perfect option for anyone from tall ladies to petites, and it’s one of the most popular dresses for a reason. Our best tip is if you choose a wrap dress, be sure to choose proper undergarments if it’s a true wrap style and not a faux wrap because a gust of wind or sitting down can cause the front section to flap open. Throw a pair of Spanx shorts underneath for extra coverage.
