Four things to Do Before You book Your Senior Photos 2021

When you prepare to book your senior photos, you may be wondering how to make sure all your ducks are in a row. It can feel like a lot of things need to get done, and need to be taken care of. That’s what it’s very important to hire a professional photographer, who can help you wrap up all those loose ends and details. My years of experience mean that you are getting the best customer service and client care, and that your senior photos will be everything you dreamed. Here are four things you can do right now, before you even book with us:

  1. Decide what dates will work for you. Before you come to us for our available dates, check your own calendar to see some windows of time that will be good for you and your family. It helps you nail one down quickly, without lots of back and forth communication. Check for times when you have school projects due, or are going on vacation, and make sure you don’t book at that time.
  2. Begin a great skincare and hair routine: Months in advance, it is wise to begin taking very good care of your skin and hair. Of course, you should do this all the time, but before your session is a great time to begin taking a supplement like Biotin, which can help your skin and hair grow and look extra shiny. Moisturize and use plenty of sunscreen to prevent burning or redness, and you’ll feel super confident for your shoot.
  3. Begin with your budget: If you’re the parent or the graduate, be sure to sit down with your family and decide how much you have to spend. Ask your photographer what the average investment is so you can plan accordingly. Also ask if there is a minimum investment, so there are no surprises.  Begin saving up each month to make sure you will be able to have the session you’ve dreamed of, and so you don’t have to worry about money when the time comes.
  4. Make sure you understand the style that you want: If you want boho or modern, book a photographer who shows that style in their portfolio and within their blogs. You want to be able to trust them with your images, and know you will walk away fully satisfied!
