Four Reasons to do Senior Photos in 2021
With us entering a new year, senior photos may be the last thing on your mind. With all the upheaval of the last year, many of us are just trying to get through the uncertainty of a brand new year, and trying to set goals that match the new priorities we have. I am really encouraging all my senior clients to go ahead with senior portraits, even if graduation or senior parties don’t look quite the same. In fact, I think senior photos THIS year, of all years, are even more important than ever!
- They give you something to plan and think about: Nothing is more fun than planning, designing, and thinking about a photoshoot! Although I do the hard parts that often stress clients out, like choosing a location and helping you pose, you get to do the fun things. Shopping for a wardrobe and thinking of how to incorporate things like your favorite sports or your hobbies can give you something new to focus on!
- Senior photos are something that feels normal: Because they are a senior rite of passage, senior photos give you a sense of normalcy. They allow you to celebrate something you’d normally celebrate, and to mark the years of high school that have shaped who you are becoming!
- They give parents and friends and family something tangible: If you’re a parent or someone who has a senior in their life, you know what a special time it is in their lives, and all the work that has been done up until this point. It’s so nice to hold something in your hands that celebrates all that hard work, and what an unique time this is; a time you won’t ever have again!
- It allows you to create a new memory: Because of the way our sessions are structured, it really is a day of pampering and memories. You can create one last fun day of spoiling and excitement before senior year ends, and you’ll have gorgeous photos to show for it. There haven’t been as many things to look forward to or anticipate for graduating seniors, but senior photos is the thing they can depend on!
