Prime Wardrobe: A Girl’s Best Friend
Have you heard of Prime Wardrobe? It’s like the more affordable version of a service like Stitch Fix or Wantable. It allows you to try before you buy, and also makes your shopping super easy. You can choose up to eight items, try them on in the comfort of your own home (with your own accessories, shoes, jackets, etc) and then return the ones that don’t work for you! They send you a prepaid box to ship your items back, and all you have to do is drop them in the mail when you are ready, or you can keep all the items you received and be charged for them.
Not only can you utilize Prime Wardrobe, where you select your items yourself, but there is another service called Personal Shopper, which is just $4.99 a month. The service allows personal shoppers to curate a wardrobe for you, and then they proceed with the same plan: eight items shipped to you to try, and you are only charge for the things you love and want to keep! Unlike some other styling services, the items are obviously more affordable. Although it’s not AS personalized as something like Trunk Club by Nordstrom, it is better for the budget conscious shopper, and a fun way to spruce your closet up.
How does it work: You select or have your items selected online, they are shipped to you (some are via Prime, but typically it takes about 5-6 days for your box to make it’s way to you), and then you have an impressive seven days to try on, decide, and ship back your box. Items must be postmarked before the seven days is up, and you may not wear the items out before you return them to Amazon (tags and misc must be intact), so you know you are receiving and sending back clean items. When you’ve made your selections, you will be charge for the items you kept.
