Matching Sets for Fall
We know what you’re thinking: twin sets? For a senior session? Stick with us, because we think they’re actually pretty amazing for the fashion forward teen who wants something a little extra for their shoot. Rest assured, it’s not a twinset like a cardigan and blouse…instead, they are matching sets of tops and pants/skirts that give you a really polished, stylish look. Here are our five favorite current styles:
Hazy Day Set by Free People: We love the throwback appeal of these two pieces. The wide-leg pants give you a teeny tiny waist and keep you comfortable with a breezy hemline. And the retro styled crop top features an open back and flattering short sleeve, and looks fabulous with a dressier flat sandal.
Striped Cropped top and Pant by Forever 21: For a beachy style, go for this pair, with nautical stripes and a tie-waist. Not only will it look amazing for your senior shoot, it will also look adorable for lunch with your girlfriends, or at a summer soiree before the school year starts. Malta black off the shoulder set by Lulus: This one looks like you may be ready to take a vacation to Greece! It has such a european vibe with it’s statement buttons and pretty silhouette. We love it paired with a straw crossbody bag and flat black sandals. Add a pair of gold Kendra Scott earrings for maximum impact, and layer a denim jacket over it to take you right into fall.
Floral two piece set by American Eagle: American Eagle has really inexpensive items this season, and they’re beautifully fashion forward. The golden mustard color looks gorgeous on just about every skin tone, and with it’s seventies-inspired look, you’ll be feeling ready for your senior shoot. Add retro styled sunglasses, and a sleek, high ponytail to get a look that all your friends will envy! We love it with wooden clogs or platform sandals, and with a simple crossbody leather bag.
Striped crop top set from BCBG: With it’s Moschino look, this set is fun and functional. It would look great for your senior session for a dressier look that shows your personality with it’s fun stripes, or for a school day dressed down with sneakers. It’s made of a sweater material, which will give you more warmth as we head into the fall season. Add chunky boots and round shades for something extra chic.
