What to Wear Wednesday: Graduation Dresses

Shhh… can you hear it? The faint tune of one of the most recognizable songs: Pomp and Circumstance. Immediately when we hear it, we think of everything that goes with graduations. Whether it’s from high school, college or kindergarten, the apparel remains the same. Long, solid-colored robes and iconic caps, and of course the significant tassel, signifying the end of one thing, and the beginning of the next all in one motion. It’s one of the most important days of your life, you want to look good for it!So much of good fashion is about color coordination. On graduation day, there is a unified color worn by each member of the class – which means you only have to worry about what you wear underneath the robe! That’s where unity meets your individuality.

Graduating is a formal event, so what you wear will show that. Even within a formal setting you can express who you are, and especially so when you contrast your graduation gown with a colorful, unique dress hiding underneath, just waiting to be shown off. You have the freedom to go with a gorgeous, carefree floral print, a more reserved, traditional cut or something more modern, boldly modeling a new style or fresh pattern. It all comes down to who you are, and that’s the core of fashion – self-expression.

And you just reached a huge milestone in your life! Show off your achievement with a dress that is completely you. Here’s a few ideas to get you started on finding the perfect dress for your graduation day:
