“I was pretty excited when my Mom suggested I do a photo session with Janice so that I could try some test modeling shots and basically get pictures done from a professional. My Mom is always saying she wants some good pictures of us kids that aren’t staged like school photos or the ones she has taken…I didn’t really know what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences ever!
Janice really encouraged me to select outfits that would highlight my best features, but ones that would also make me feel comfortable and natural. She took her time and suggested poses, but mostly just led me to different areas that would be good background settings and then her really positive demeanor just made it so easy to let go and have fun with the shoot.
I am really happy with the pictures she took and have had so many compliments from people who have seen them…it will be hard to pick out my favorites. I would recommend Janice to anyone. Maybe her photos will help me break into a modeling career one day soon!! “

“Searching for a photographer can be a really difficult and confusing thing…especially when you are hoping to find someone who will not only capture your teen daughter in a way that portrays her as you know her to be, but who also makes her feel comfortable and relaxed so that she can have fun with the session enough to let her true personality and beauty shine through. This, as any parent of a teen daughter can readily admit, is no small task!
My daughter Haley has wanted to try modeling for a long time, but had never really considered it something she would be good at, pretty enough for or confident enough in to pursue in “real life”. I thought a professional photo session might be a great chance for her to see what it might be like — and I got introduced to Janice through a friend who had raved about her work with her daughter. What a positive experience it was for both of us!
Janice put Haley completely at ease from the moment they met and began planning what styles and accessories might work best for her, to the actual session where Janice guided Haley through a variety of locations and poses which produced results neither of us imagined. Janice was so down to earth and confident herself that she just swept Haley up in their grand adventure and the photos that resulted were artistic, creative and if I may say so, downright amazing! I could not have been more pleased considering she truly “saw” the essence of my daughter and captured her in away that made Haley feel really beautiful. What a gift it was for each of us!
